This is Beth's eighth book. The first two thirds consists of poetry, followed by some short stories, some of which are only suitable for adults. Beth has told me that many of these were written for competitions, then added to her book later on, so not always her type of writing.
I like the way her style has developed over the years. Beth explores new territory and seems to push the boundaries more now. She says in the preface that modern life is too hectic. This is a view that she has expressed to me and I am inclined to think that she is right.
My favourite poem is "Time Will Tell" on page 85. The concept behind this is on the lines of "this too will pass", which can be a comforting thought when facing something difficult.
