5.0 out of 5 stars If you're a newbie, you need this book. 9 May 2014
By Julie S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Just getting started building a pantry? This is the book for you! The author, Angela Paskett has created a well written, comprehensive guide that answers every question you could possibly think of regarding food storage. There's advice on what types of food you should pack in an emergency kit, how to figure out how much to store in your pantry for both long and short term emergencies, and recommendations for the best places to store it. The book includes information on water storage, step-by-step instructions for canning, dehydrating tips, packing suggestions and I loved the section on sustainable food storage which covers everything from gardening to raising animals to hunting and fishing.
I can’t stress it enough. This is a must have book for food storage beginners. It will become your go-to reference over and over again. Personally, I’m such a fan of Angela’s book that I’ve ordered a few more to give out to friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars I recommend this book! 9 May 2014
By Bernie C. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I like the way the book is organized, with a separate chapter covering food needs for 72 hours, short term emergencies (two weeks to three months) and long term emergencies (three months or longer). There are more sections dealing with water storage, preserving, packing dry foods for long term, maintaining balance, sustainable food storage, organizing and using your food storage. In short, this book covers everything the reader to know about storing food.

I found a lot of ideas on how I can improve my own food storage plan. The author gives practical steps that anyone can implement right away. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for any family interested in self-sufficiency and preparedness! 9 May 2014
By momwithaprep - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This isn't a book I'd simply put on my to-be-borrowed-from-the-library list. After reading Angela's book on Food Storage, I feel empowered to take my food storage up a notch. It's a must-have for any beginning preparedness-minded or self-sufficiency-seeking family looking to increase their food stores for their families.

Written with the authority of someone who has actually been doing this their entire lives, it's believable, not just a rehash of things someone threw together from the 'net.

I highly recommend this book!

By Jamie S. - Published on Amazon.com

This book has been one of the most thorough and well-organized food storage books I've ever read. I will definitely be keeping it in a safe place to refer to often. It answered nearly every question that I had, and even more I hadn't considered.

I really appreciate all the charts, worksheets, and lists throughout the book that are available to print. She didn't leave out a single detail. Anyone that is wanting to get started with food storage, or just get some new and fresh ideas - this book will not disappoint! I will definitely be ordering more of these for gifts!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for anyone interested in food storage! 9 May 2014
By Lesslie B - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a fabulous book! I read it cover to cover in less than a week, but if I didn't have a little one I probably would have finished it in one day! So much useful information that can apply to you whether you're new to food storage or have been building your stockpile for several years. Angela made this book so easy to ready, yet not oversimplified or dumbed down. Perfect balance! I loved it :)
