Product Description

This book contains an extensive selection of step-by-step projects for making miniature food items for the 1/12 scale dolls' house. The realistic-looking meals range from simple fruit, vegetables and bread to "celebration food" and banquets. A comprehensive section, featuring the step-by-step techniques of working with polymer clay, involves shaping the clay, mixing colours, texturing and finally, baking it. The necessary tools and materials are also detailed, as well as how to put them to their most effective use. Colour photographs show the finished items and display ideas and instruction are given, from bread baskets to a complete table setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Food fit for a "mini" king!!, 30 May 2005
As a beginner, I found this book very easy to use. Clear guide lines are given about mixing polymer clay colours, and how to use the various tools, most of which can be simply adapted from household items. The instructions were very easy to follow and my first attempts were very professional looking! Whether you are "catering" for your dolls house family, or wanting to fill the shelves of your grocery shop, bakery or tearoom, this book will become your bible.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book to dip into again and again, 24 Feb 2009

This amazing, well photographed book takes the mystery out of making miniature food.
The projects are broken down into easy, understandable stages, and you will want to try all of these mini projects.
It will also introduce you to some new polymer clay ideas that you will be able to adapt for use in other projects too, so all in all I would recommend this book 100 percent. I am sure you will not be dissapointed.
