I enjoyed the explanation of what foods were available in Britain, and which were brought by the Romans. I also enjoyed the details about cooking and baking and the interesting recipes and serving suggestions!

Pleasant little book16 Feb. 2007

This is hardley more than a pamphlet. Good information on food and food production in Roman Britain. There is a very small section containing recipes. These are all from Apicius so if you are looking for specifically British-Roman recipes you will not find them here. Pleasant and informative but very tiny.
