About the Author

Tanya Wright BSc (Hons) SRD, is a State Registered Dietitian, workng at Stoke Mandeville Hospital as Head of Nutrition and Dietetic Services. She has a particular interest in allergies because she herself has a severe allergy to milk and eggs. She runs an allergy support group in her own time, and is a Regional Coordinator for both The Anaphylaxis Campaign and the British Allergy Foundation.

This is an easy to read book which is divided into clear and concise chapters. It balances practical and scientific information. It is essential reading for any allergy sufferer or their friends and family.

I was very impressed with this book. It is jam-packed full of useful and practical information. People living with allergies are likely to find it indispensible as a guide to managing their allergy and still enjoying life and health professionals will find fascinating facts about living with allergies which are often not in the textbooks. As the author, Tanya Wright, is a State-registered Dietitian as well having a severe allergy the reader gains a personal perspective on the condition combined with the latest current knowledge and practice in diagnosing and managing the condition. All written in a very engaging style! Highly recommended by this reader.
