5.0 out of 5 stars Riot Grrls at their finest, 7 Feb 2001
Released in 1992, this is probably the Babes best recording to date. 3 girls meet raw guitars and banshee-like screeching in true riot grrl fashion. Stand-out tracks include Bruise Violet (wrote about Courtney Love; former member of the lead singer's old band), Bluebell, Blood, Won't Tell, Spun and Mother. Kat Bjelland (now lead singer of 'Katastrophic' wife) has such a great voice; 1 minute all sweet and innocent, 1 minute raw as you like - the whole time kicking ass. Combine this with bass, guitar and drums and you have another fine example ot bitch-rock stubbing out it's fag on anyone who tries to keep them down.
