Product Description

The FoneM8 car holder is designed to allow you to position your HTC One , in either landscape or portrait modes, either on your cars windscreen or the dashboard. The FoneM8 car holder is a small and discreet windscreen and dash board mount which wont obscure your view of the road. Its designed with a unique ball joint and bracket system which allows you to use the holder on either your cars windscreen or the dashboard. Its rotating bracket allows you to use your device in either landscape or portrait mode which is perfect if you want to use your mobile phone as a sat nav. The holder comes with an adhesive plate which fixes on to your dashboard allowing you to use the car holder either on your windscreen or on your dashboard which makes it perfect if you're using your phone as your Sat Nav whilst driving. With the adjustable swivel bracket you can easily remove the car holder from your windscreen and place it on the dashboard. As the holder uses a ball joint, you can position your device at any angle making it easier for your to position your device at a comfortable viewing angle. The suction mount offers a superior grip to whatever surface you apply it to, ensuring that your mobile phone wont fall causing damage to your device. The holders extending arm means that it fits the majority of modern devices with or without a case installed, so you don't need to keep removing your phone from its case to use it in the car. The opening at the bottom of the holder means you can still access your charging socket or 3.5mm socket at all times. The arms extend to a maximum of 8cm, which is enough for all but the largest smartphones. It features soft pads which gently cushion your device whilst its in the holder ensuring that your device will not slip out of the holder but also it won't pick up any scratches whilst its there. Dimension of the pad is approximately 6cm

Doesn't work very well on the dashboard, in fact it lasted about 1 week. Since transferring to the Windscreen, it appears to be far more stable. It works for all smart phones and has a simple spring loaded clasp, so this was handy for my iphone and wifes HTC OneX. When commuting it is prone to shaking, but it does appear sturdy. So far I'm happy with it and it does serve a purpose for me.

Does what is should. Takes a bit of pressure to get it to attach to the windscreen, but once there it stays. Takes my HTC One X with thick flip case no problem. Not tried to stick to the dash (and probably won't), so can't report on that.

Clearly a generic product as nothing on the packaging says HTX One X. As a result, it's a very tight fit for this oversized phone. Definitely a two handed job to get it wedged in there without starting to mess up the side of the HTC. Once in though, it sticks to the windscreen like a limpet via the rotating base unit and stays there even for long journeys. The angle can be adjusted any way you want and it is best used in the One X's 'Car mode' i.e. horizontally. The plastic feels a little fragile but having used it for a few months now, it's totally fine. If it was a bit easier to get the phone in and out, I'd give it a five. As it is, it's a 4.

As good as if not better than more expensive or "bespoke" car holders. The only thing to possibly be wary of is is you have a thick case - don't imagine many people with HTC One X's or Samsung S3's will anyway - but the holder only stretches enough to insert/remove the phone with case. The materials seem strong enough to put up with a little abuse, but I wouldn't push it too far. Detaches from the dashboard base easy enough. Depending on where you mount it, it can be a little tricky reattaching it if you are in a rush.

this holder is quite versatile. it sticks to the windscreen well, infact since putting it on when it arrived, it's still there now 3 weeks later.

only minor problem is the swivel could do with being a bit stiffer as my phone has to be off centre when in landscape view due to the vol buttons being in the way of the holder grip, so the phone (HTC One X) rests off centre.

Bought this for my moms HTC and works very well. It's sticks much better to the window than the dashboard but she prefers it on the window anyway. The only downside is she has to take off her phone case for it to stay in the holder but apart from that it's fine.
