Product Description

From the Back Cover

He's back. And you won't believe what he has to say this time.

Some people might think that World Wrestling Federation Superstar Mick Foley said his piece in his 532-page, No. 1 New York Times bestselling literary opus Mankind--Have a Nice Day! Well, some people would be wrong. Very wrong. Because Mick Foley is back with a vengeance.

Foley Is Good picks up right where the last book left off, as once again readers are given a bird's-eye view of the behind-the-scenes action in the World Wrestling Federation. With the same total honesty and riotous humour displayed in his last book, Mick shines a spotlight into some of the hidden corners of the World Wrestling Federation. From the ongoing controversy surrounding "backyard wrestling" to the real story behind his now-infamous "I Quit" match with The Rock, Foley covers all the bases in this hysterically funny roller-coaster ride of a memoir.

Some know him as Cactus Jack, others as Dude Love. We loved him as Mankind, and he was the best Commissioner the World Wrestling Federation ever had. But if you want to know the real Mick Foley, if you want to get inside the head of one of sports entertainment's biggest superstars, then there's no substitute for Foley Is Good. Readers and fans everywhere need their recommended daily allowance of pure, unadulterated Mick. And it's all right here for the taking.

About the Author

Mick Foley is a legend in the world of WWF. Variously as Cactus Jack, Dude Love and more recently Mankind, he has thrilled audiences around the world. He lives in Florida with his wife and children.

This is a suberb book. Wrestling fans will love it and it is a good insight into wrestling for people who aren't Wrestling fans. It carries on where 'Mankind, Have a Nice Day: A Tale Of Blood And Sweatsocks' left off. Foley, a self confessed geek does an excellent job here. Well Done!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Foley is... good and then some 27 May 2001

Format:Hardcover
Yet another excellent book from the pen of Foley. Mick continues from where he left off and gives us some fascinating insight into what he was thinking before during and after the big matches leading up to his retirement. Not only that but the WWF favourite gives us his thoughts on Vince McMahon, backyard wrestling, the PTC and... making babies! Wrestling fans will love this and any rollercoaster fans out there should grab a copy too as the creator of Socko runs down his top 10 amusement rides.

5.0 out of 5 stars As good as "Have a nice day" 19 May 2001
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
I bought this book on a recent trip to New York, and have read about half of it so far. It starts where Have a nice day finished, but after that doesn't appear to go in any chronological order.
The book is on a par with Have a nice Day, and surpasses both The Rock's 'The Rock Says' and Chyna's awful 'If they only knew'.
If you don't yet have either book I would recommend reading Have a nice day prior to reading this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Let down 30 Jun 2013
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book had very little to do with wrestling, it was more about theme parks, politics, the creative process of writing his book and defending the WWE from its many critics. I loved have a nice day; and I'm not a Mick Foley fan. I bought this book on the strength of the first one.

5.0 out of 5 stars beards are still cool 17 Jun 2008

Format:Mass Market Paperback
Again Mick Foley has produced an excellent book. This time he recalls in greater depth the WWE era of his career. There are some truly awesome tales in this book, such as the penis suplex, the rock n sock connection to name but two.
Mick does get caught up in some political aspects of the business towards the end of the book which is a bit too heavy going, but this does not spoil the read. The rest is fast paced, funny and heart warming. Some find it a bit random in places, but that just makes it a more personal experience.
Moral of the story, wear pants under your lycra.
Buy it, read it and pass on the wisdom of wrestling.

I chose this rating because Its a brilliant purchase
The only dislike is the book had a mark on it but it came off with a wipe of a finger tip
I recomend this book to any wrestling fan or not as once you read the first book he had published, its better to start at 1, 2, 3 and 4 actually.

5.0 out of 5 stars Foley IS good 6 July 2013
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is a must for wrestling fans, fans of Mick Foley and all those people who think wrestling is just for kids. Mick Foley has a distinctive style, warm, funny and intelligent, he makes some good points, backs them up with research and his anecdotes will make you laugh, cry and cringe - sometimes all at once.
