This could be excellent. The built-in rechargeable battery is a superb idea, and surprising given the low cost of the keyboard. (It can't be removed, though, therefore I assume once it has been charged and re-charged dozens of times its longevity will decrease.) I like the rubbery feel of the keyboard, it is portable, and it has a novelty factor. As a generic bluetooth keyboard, Chinese I think, with literally no branding anywhere on it, it works fine with my Android tablet and at a guess will work with most bluetooth compatible devices. It feels well-constructed.

(Some reviews mention that the space bar can break, which may well be the case as the instructions tell you not to compress it while it's rolled up, which could be hard to avoid if you're carrying it around with you.)

However, its major failing is that it doesn't speed up my typing. (I type at 70+ words per minute on a normal keyboard, but I'd be surprised if I'm at 25 wpm on this form.) For me the purpose of a portable keyboard is to be able to type on my tablet (or equally on a phone) at very close to the same speed I can manage on a laptop. But this keyboard really is very small (do check the dimensions before purchasing - I had assumed it was a full size keyboard, just rolled up; my mistake, it's half-size). On a keyboard this small I'm no faster at typing than I am on the tablet screen or a phone.

If you're looking for a portable keyboard and you don't have tiny, tiny fingers, then you need a full-size keyboard that folds (and probably costs more), not a half-size keyboard that rolls.

(I'd buy a full-size version of this keyboard if there was one, but the space bar is probably what makes this difficult to manufacture.)

This is such a useful thing but real shame that space key has just stopped working and it hasn't had more than 2 or 3 hours of use in total.
Do you know how useless a keyboard is without a space key that works?

4.0 out of 5 stars 5* Service 21 Sep 2012

Bought with next day delivery, this item arrived less than 18hrs after ordering! The size is slightly smaller than imagined (a fraction smaller than the key board on my 7' netbook) with fingers not quite able to sit aligned above the "asdf-jkl;" keys for touch-typing, but with a small alteration with finger positioning and a little practice touch-typing is possible. I should also add that i am 6'4" so dont have the tiniest hands in the world.

the product comes with an internal battery that is USB powered which so far has always outlasted the battery life of the phone (and then some).

when connecting with my Samsung Galaxy S2 in general it was quite simple, the only difficulty was when asked by my phone to put a code into the keyboard, there was no feedback to indicate if the buttons were being pressed which meant that it took 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

Happy buying!

The first thing I noticed about the keyboard was the compact design. It came rolled in a round case. To use it I unrolled an synchronized it with my tablet PC. This was a simple task because all the user must do is to press the On button and the Connect button. On the tablet you should search for new devices and the keyboard will be found, synchronized and ready to use.

The keyboard is made from silicon so it is light, compact & easy to carry and in plus it is water resistant so you don't have to worry if you accidentally splashing it with liquid.

This Bluetooth keyboard is simple to use and it works like a wireless keyboard only it uses the Bluetooth to operate. It is compatible with Bluetooth devices like smartphones and tablets. And it can easily be charged via a USB port.

It has special keys for different functions like volume, mute, play/pause, next/previous track just to name a few.

The Bluetooth keyboard is simple to use. As a downside because of it's compact design the keys are relatively small and it may take a while to accommodate with the device but there are some frustrations associated with changing your keyboard because you need to relearn how to type on the new device. Also I found that the "Caps look" key is too close to the "A" key and I pressed it accidentally a few times.

In conclusion: an easy to use compact and roll-able keyboard which is also light and ultraportable and works paired with tablets and smartphones. If you like silicon keyboards then it can be a good investment. I gave it a 3 start because I am not a fan of silicon keyboards and I consider them hard to use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Keyboard not bad 10 Mar 2013

I wanted a keyboard for my Ipad having tried a keyboard case and not liked it for being too bulky.
This I hoped might be a solution and in some ways it is. But the keys are rather small, in fact smaller than the onscreen keyboard in landscape. It will also pair with my iPhone which is a distinct advantage over the on screen keyboard.
What you do get are more functions than you have with the on screen offering without having to switch keyboards to numbers and symbols as you do with the on screen.
I would like to use it for a long period and see how it stands up to use and whether it would split or stop working. I do find having got it that I am not using it as much as I thought I might.
I wouldn't say don't buy it, but consider your options. If you have large hands and thick fingers as I do it can be a bit fiddly but essentially it does what it says it does.

Keys are not very responsive, delivery wasn't great. Not very reliable. Unless portability is your absolute main concern, i cant recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with a Galaxy S2
Works fine with my Galaxy S2. A bit "squidgy" to type on, but still quicker than the on-screen keyboards. Could say, it does what it says on the transparent tube it it packaged in.
