This 4 way focusing rail arrived today and it is absolutely brilliant and besides that the price is amazing for what it can do. I photograph a lot of jewellery items which requires me to take a lot of close up shots so this is a god send to me although I don't use Macro as the title might suggest. In the past I've had to move the tripod back and forth and side to side until the shot was perfectly focused and framed, this makes it so much easier to focus and position the camera than ever before. The sliding rails have a smooth action and there are also knobs to adjust the friction level. Overall this is solid piece of kit and very well made. I can confidently and without hesitation recommend this product, its superb!!!!

From browsing on Amazon and purchasing to using this Focusing Rail took less than 22 hours, so delivery is 1st class and the item is very well packaged.I had noticed when browsing some people said it's a little heavy,I don't think so,you need the slider to be solid to minimize movement and it is solid and reasonably well engineered.I say reasonably because other buyers have noticed that a screw on the under side tends to come loose,this was removed, loctite applied and now everything is okay, if I was scoring out of 10 I would only deduct 1/2 a point for this minor fault on an otherwise great piece of kit.I'm using my Slider with a Fuji HS20 with Raynox 250 mounted on a Vanguard Alta Pro with Pistol BallHead Pistol grip,everything is held firmly in place when clamped up.If you are going to be Stacking then this Slider is perfect for the job allowing you to make those small focusing adjustments needed when the focus is in Manual Mode,you don't need to touch the lens just turn the Slider knobs to refocus at the next point and click.On the opposite side to the movement adjuster knob is another smaller knob this acts as a damper or brake,it applies pressure to the rail making it easier or harder to move or locking it completely.To sum up it's a great item,a must for Macro Photography and great value for money.

Delivery was very prompt and the rail came very well packaged and upon unpacking was heavier than expected.
It is solidly made and there is no wobble or movement when mounted onto a good tripod.
Both rails move smoothly with a screw to tighten the rails. The build quality is very high. Macro photos have just become a whole lot easier!
