The search is over for a book which gives clearly defined steps to understanding the inner self. It takes the concept of emotional and spiritual intelligence, prayer, meditation, ancient and modern philosophy and combines them into a meaningful way to address emotional disturbances. The process is surprisingly pain free and can be done virtually anywhere you can get away with closing your eyes for 5 minutes. All I need now is a book on motivation to get into the habit of going through the process more often.

Having read the recommendation for this book via a "Mega Brain" article, I can truthfully say that this book does deliver the goods - even if a little practice is required! Unlike other books, this is a practical guide and as such is written in a very approachable style with plenty of examples, backed up with what to do if nothing is happening!! This is definately one book that exceeds its monetary value.

This is a succinct and very accessible statement of Gendlin's practice of Focusing. Written in a human way it is of help to individuals for their own practice or if they wish to use it when helping others. For the theoretical underpinning just visit his website and there is a wealth of free material to download.
