An atlas and timeline are accessible separately, but The Hutchinson Encyclopedia 2001 has several more unusual extras too. There are Memory Joggers--useful mnemonics that help you remember things like the colours of the rainbow and the order of books in the Old Testament; "Did You Know" facts to look up; "On This Day" events; and a "Quote of The Day". These help to make browsing the encyclopedia fun. There is a special section on the National Curriculum, which shows how parts of the encyclopedia match up to its requirements. Parents might find this particularly helpful.
