I found this game just passable.
I did like the slight twist of having to pair objects by association, but after a while the mechanics got quite repetitive and frustrating.
For example, the pairing system got more and more unrealistic as the story advanced.
How are you supposed to match a giraffe to a pirate eye-patch ?
The "obvious" answer (to them) is that the giraffe is called a "pirate giraffe", a fact you don't discover unless you hover the rather big cursor over said giraffe. What the heck ?
There is no way to know that fact by just glancing at the screen. Anything on screen could be a potential match, so there is no logic you can apply other than sheer trial and error over every single object on the screen.
And so many other such "pairings" (like the "kung-fu lobster"). As I said, very frustrating.
I also got a disconnected feeling from the story. It's as if they didn't care about it at all.
Very artificial and not properly followed through, in my opinion.
You get a beginning and an end, but the middle doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.
I know it's only a game, but when you compare it with games such as Drawn, where the story is immersive and the puzzles are relevant, this game becomes just a filler.
