Fun to find faces!

Focus: Found Faces: Your World, Your Images is filled with faces taken by over ninety photographers from twenty six different countries. When you pay attention to your surroundings and you may just see something unexpected. What a delightful surprise to notice a inanimate face looking back at you! Contributing photographer Mario Spiroglou says, "When I find a hidden face, i feel like an archeologist. I've discovered and brought to light something that's been forgotten or overlooked." It is fun to see how the faces they found have many different emotions. From a happy iron to a grumpy bookbag, to a sour looking lemon face to the tiny delighted expression on a slice of banana, Focus: Found Faces gives us the enjoyable chance to "find the faces", too!

What a delightful book! This is one in a series of books by Lark Books that are like visual books for adult children. From the very beginning, the cover has the 'smiley face' cut out of it which tells you it's not going to be an average, banal book of pics. Wonderfully produced, every other page or so produces a surprise about where a face is seen or the 'expression' of inanimate objects. Worth every penny!

I'm really impressed with the quality and the level of "interesting-ness" of this book! I got it as I have two photos in the book; but I think I would have bought it anyway. I like the heft and the feel of the book--this is a high quality publication. The cut-out on the cover I just love--it adds to the uniqueness of the contents! And inside the cover, the images are incredible! I found myself studying each image and then my mind would wander off around the room, looking for more "found faces" in unexpected places! This is a fun, and fascinating study of looking at the world around us with wide open eyes! It's very inspirational to anyone who loves to take photos of anything and everything!
