Genuine Superpad 7 ( not a re-flashed Superpad 6) Most sellers are passing off Superpad 6s as the new Superpad 7. The new Superpad 7 is an Allwinner A10 not a Vimicr if it says vimicro it's a re-flashed Superpad 6. The new Superpad 7 has a new more reliable Mainboard and higher Spec. I will list some of the advantages over the Superpad 6 below: Much faster CPU (runs up to 1.5GHZ0 Superpad 6 is 1GHZ;More Stable Software; Better compatibility with the Play store; 1GB DDR3 Ram as Standard; Better Camera 1.3MP ( Superpad 6 is 0.3MP); Outputs a 2160P, the Superpad 6 is 1080P; Much faster boot time ( 45% quicker)...Only takes 25 seconds; AnTuTu Score is 2542 ( 30% Higher that the Superpad 6) - The latest firmware Android 4.0.4 ICS - Massive 20GB of storage built in. - Latest Allwinner A10 Boxchip CPU(almost 30% faster than Superpad 6) - Running at 1.2 GHZ - WiFi 802.11 b/g/n - Built in Ethernet port - 4 way G sensor - 2xFull size USB port and HDMI out - 2 point Touch HD screen ( 1024x600) - Flash 11.1 Pre-Installed - Sold with a 3 Pin UK mains charger - Brand new in a full Retail box - 5000 mAh Lithium-Ion Battery
What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?
I did a lot of research on this item and i am very pleased that i did, otherwise i would have made a total mistake and bought a re-flashed Superpad, thinking it was the Superpad VII. It was only reading what this seller put in his Product Description that saved me making a very big mistake.
A lot of reviews that i have come across are absolutely not true of my own experience of this device. It is true to say that it is not an iPad and quite honestly is very good when price comparison and usability is given a truthful view.
First, i would like to say that the display of 10.2 is vivid in color and the adjustable brightness is very adequate. For my wife and myself we found that we did not have to adjust the brightness of the screen, but it is nice to have this option to do so if we wish.
There are plenty of options for expansion with the two usb ports (of which i did have a problem connecting with) more on this issue later in my review. The Superpad VII has 20 gigabytes of storage and also has the option of using the micro-SD card slot with up to 32Gigabyte of space. Coupled with also the option of using usb memory sticks, i honestly believe it has me covered for storage. I suppose that one could also use an external hard drive although i have not tried this.
I did see on one review somewhere else that their wife or children could not play the included game of AngryBirds. I am pleased to say that my wife plays and loves this game (my wife is not a person to be easily pleased). I am more into other kinds of apps and all that i tried ran smoothly with no lags.
When first turning on after a good charge up, i found it very easy to set up and soon had the wi-fi up and running. The connection was very fast and i did not have any drop outs. No problems connecting to the internet to browse Google, eBay, Utube. Videos played with no lag so i really enjoyed my experience.
So would i go out and buy an iPad? No, i do not think that i would. The Superpad VII does all that i need and at less than a third of the price. I will soon be buying another of these for my wife.
I would also like to point out that Alex at Lelik Tech gives great support to his customers. I will definitely be buying from him again.
If i could give Letik Tec 10 stars instead of five, i most certainly would.Read more ›
Firstly I'm new to the world of tablet PCs, so did alot of researching before I actually purchased this tablet.
I do alot of travelling with work, so wanted to get rid of my laptop which is big/bulky and wanted to downsize to either a netbook or tablet, I didn't want to go down the road of I-Pads etc as they are simply too expensive and also lock you to the world of I-Tunes which I don't have or want, so started looking at the cheaper options. I looked at many various types/makes of tablet and came across this one, after doing my research I decided to go for it.
Both of them compliment the tablet perfectly, the card giving you loads more room to keep things stored on & the case is awesome as it basically turns the tablet into a net book, handy for when you need to do any typing etc.
I'm still fairly new to using the tablet and still finding new things here and there but with the use of the internet I have found various websites that guide you to the best apps etc for your tablet, as I found that some of the pre-loaded apps weren't useful to me or not the best of its type on the market. So after reading about the best apps on different websites, I downloaded the various apps from the play store that are helpful/useful to me and if I'm honest, I don't know why I didn't buy a tablet sooner.
Lightweight even in the case I bought to carry around, plenty of apps available to download to suit your needs, with the case I bought I have the option of turning it into a netbook, battery life I can't comment on yet but figures say 4-5hrs, great colours/depth hd resolution screen plus much more.
I'm so happy I decided to buy this tablet and at a fraction of the cost of an I-Pad etc, it's a win-win situation.Read more ›
EDIT: One week later and the tablet seems to have a battery / charge problem. I contacted the reseller via Amazons systems and had very prompt help.
First and foremost, this is 4x cheaper than an iPad, remember this! If you want an iPad, buy an iPad. I heard that the Nexus came out just after I ordered this :-(
Know why you want this. I wanted this to provide Google Map Navigation + Music player (+internet radio) in the car (ie replace a TomTom!)
- mine arrived from the UK, probably from the Importer's home address. - the keyboard is in USA format - easy to change. - Google Text to Speech crashes - installed IVONA instead. Works fine. - GPS is external, not very sensitive (compared to my HTC Phone) -- My phone works fine in the car but this tablet struggled to get a fix. -- I have to find a way to get the antenna outside the car. - TuneIN Radio app not compatible. - BBC Radio app plays only the MP3 streams, not the RTMP or AAC -- My HTC Phone plays all these (BBC RTMP & TuneIN) - WebRadio works fine - stock browser and FireFox - Talking of which, Stock browser is S L O W - Rad.io app works ok on most streams. - No Bluetooth - No Compass - No Carmount kit (some reviews said there was one) - Its a shame the power connector is not the "now normal" micro USB. Its a pin sized round thing (like many older devices) -- I'll have to either open the unit to do something or make a new cable :-( - WiFi is good. Streamed films onto HDMI 42" telly no problem from a Windows Home Server (Use "MediaHouse" app) - Its an Ubuntu core, not pure Android. I think the ROM is one someone made based on open source. Dont expect updates!
The units biggest flaw is indeed the screen. Yes its Resistive and impossible to pinch to zoom/expand. It comes with a stylus thats quite good but slow to type with There is a lag between pressing a key/button and the device realising you've pressed it! Be patient!
So why 3 stars. Well, it does what it said on the Box :-) - 20GB (5.52GB on mnt/sdcard, 14.8GB on mnt/extsd/sdcard2) built in memory + Micro SD Slot (mnt/extsd/sdcard1) if 20 is not enough. --- So I've most of my music collection on board. - USB only seems to support keyboard/mouse + FAT32 disks. Fair enough. I tried Bluetooth dongles, no luck. --- Maybe the rom maker can add USB Bluetooth ?? Please ! - Sound is OK (two tiny speakers but the output into the car stereo via 3.5mm jack is good). - HDMI Out + sound works well - can see the slow processor on films, but works fine for photos.
If I cant get this working as I hope to in the car, then it will become my HomeMusic center (ie always on ready to play Web Radio Stations).
So it IS what I expected, although I would have hoped that even with a resistive screen, the pinch to zoom / expand would work. Less worries there, I clicked "show +/- zoom buttons" in Google Maps. Problem Solved.
At worst, its a VERY GOOD Music player... Add a small keyboard and mouse and its a very portable netbook !
