The 4 stroke, 160cc, 4.1kW (5.5hp) GCV160 is known worldwide for reliability and performance, and with this partnership will deliver cut after cut, year after year.
Your Flymo XL500 features a durable high quality steel 50.5cm blade and a tough corrosion resistant hood to ensure reliability and long life. Operator Presence Control and Choke Control levers are fitted as standard and the handles fold down for easy storage.

Cuts really well, metal blade means less hastle, once the motor is running there is no weight so very easy to use. Prior to this I had a petrol cylinder mower, great if you have a bowling green, I don,t so it used to chop bits out etc and chew the edges if you run over. None of this with the flymo, the lawn has never looked better.

I have had a flymo xl500 for four years and used it to do all the hardest mowing in my grass cutting business, it now needs a new carburettor, but apart from regular servicing and a new blade every year it has served me well. It was also delivered with oil, so i guess this is standard practice. The carburettor is expensive.

I have used an electric Flymo in the past, so not suprisingly the petrol engined version is a lot heavier. But having said that, it starts easily and cuts well.
