The Flymo Multimo 420XC is a stylish and modern lawn mower with a 3 in 1 cutting system that will make maintaining your garden easier than ever.
Your Multimo 420XC has a host of features, all aimed at giving you the ultimate experience when it comes to mowing your lawn. Fitted with a 42 cm metal blade and a powerful 1700 watt motor, your Multimo 420XC will effectively cut and collect your grass in its large 50 litre plastic grass box, compacting the cuttings, collecting more grass, and ultimately, you will be wasting less time emptying. The Vision window allows you to see when the grass box is full.
Switch to mulch with the easy fit mulch plug, and your Multimo 420XC will cut the grass into small clippings. The grass then disappears back into the lawn acting as a natural fertilizer, while also improving moisture retention for a healthier lawn.
Your Multimo 420XC also has a rear discharge flap. Mowing with this cutting system, the grass is cut and then scattered neatly behind as you mow, ideal if your grass is too long to collect or mulch.
The Easi-Reel system means no more tangled cable, simply reel the cable in for neat and tidy storage. The rear roller will give your lawn that finishing touch, and the large rear wheels provide that extra maneuverability.
Your Multimo 420XC's light weight design means that it is easy to carry and folds away for easy storage. Obtaining your desired grass length is simple and easy to achieve, 5 heights of cut (between 20 - 65mm) are adjustable via a single lever.
The 15 metre mains cable on your Multimo 420XC gives you the freedom and flexibility to move around your lawn, without having to worry about running out of cable.

This is a good mower for a reasonably large lawn. It cuts well and the grass collection works effectively.
Reasonably easy to put together, but the main handle fixings on the body are rather flimsy and easily sprain, so I now have a handle that flops onto the floor when not in use!

Straight out of the box, I have to say that I was a little daunted by the amount of construction required to put the mower together. Fitting some of the bolts and slipping the grass box together was difficult, and I actually managed to break it in the process. Having said that, Flymo replaced the broken part without argument.
Once assembled the mower is superb. You could complain about it being a little flimsy, but there is method in the madness. The mower is incredibly light and easy to manoeuvre. It's a perfect size for a medium to large garden, and for it's size, very easy to handle.
On the top of the grass box there is a cable tidy. A tidy is a good idea, but it seems a slightly odd place to put it because of course you need to completely remove the cable from it before you can use the mower. Otherwise the grass box would be connected to the cable! But apart from that, it all makes total sense and for the money is a superb piece of equipment.
My only worry with this mower is that the construction is lightweight, and that means you need to go pretty easy with it, or something is going to break. But all in all, five stars. A great product.

Not a bad mower for larger lawns
This mower has to be better than the Compact 4000, the average lifespan of which was 18 months. It's quite nifty when you remove the grass collection box. Read more
