The powerful 500 watt motor spins at 10,750 rpm and will tackle your lawn with ease, effortlessly trimming through the grass with the double line head. The 1.5 mm diameter line head is adjusted automatically thus allowing more time at the job in hand and less time manually adjusting the line.
The 12 metre mains cable means that your Power Trim 500XT is ideally suited to medium sized garden areas, giving you the freedom and flexibility to move around your lawn without having to worry about running out of cable. I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers - I bought 2 strimmers on Amazon and both had to go back because of faults - bought this one on impulse in B&Q without looking at reviews - expected Flymo to do the job, I thought it had a good reputation. I have to stop every 2-3 minutres to unravel the spool because it gets stuck - sometimes spend ages even finding the end. The nylon cord seems to stick to itself - and even get buried beneath top layers of cord on the spool. The third time I used it the cap that holds the spool broke - so that's £6 for a replacement. The most frustrating thing I have ever owned. A pity, because for the 2-3 minutes it works, it works really well. But I'm glad others have had the same experience - I was beginning to wonder if it was just me.

I bought this as a replacement for a DOA single line model from Black & D that Id had for yonks.
I must admit to being sold on the jazzy box art and multi bits it could do but on using it I spend more time pulling line out of the thing than actually strimming the grass - a right waste of time and money.
Save yourself a shed of time and cash and buy a goat instead - this product is a total load of rubbish - it deserves no stars at all!

I have had numerous strimmers and each one disappoints and takes it's place in the garage. This one was no different from the rest except it was doubly disappointing. I got it home, went straight outside to strim and the whole lines unravelled! So I patiently reeled it up (Two spools) and off I went again, it constantly snapped (I was strimmimng grass) I put it away for the winter and recently got it back out, I reeled it up set away strimming and the line totally unravelled flew off and cut open my foot! It's now in the garage...

Good Strimmer
This is a very good quality Trimmer, however it can take some practice to get the lawn edging straight. However it's very powerful and does a great job.
