From the author of Football Fever, comes this book which opens to 32 high quality shiny pages in the popular 2-page spread format.
Numbered pages with clear, easy-to-follow text.
Beautifully illustrated throughout by Kath Lucas, the story is further enhanced by relevant facial expressions and a repetitive theme.
From the back cover:-
'Bird is wet. Bird is fed up. So Bird flies south to find the sun.
Hail, snow and wind batter her but still she flies on and on.
At last Bird finds the sun! The hot sun.
Is it good, Bird?'
Example of text:-
'It was raining.
Bird was wet.
"I'm fed up with this!" cried Bird. "I'm flying south to find the sun."
Flap, flap, away she flew......
...until the rain ended.
"Hooray! I'm south!" said Bird.......'
However...the weather is not quite what she expected.......so on ....and on.....she flies.......until she finds what she is really searching for........or does she?
