Product Description

Product Description

Flying Lucky 2 is a compilation of ninety-six true stories of naval aviators in peril who got lucky, beat the odds, and lived to tell the tale. They are gleaned from the monthly U.S. Navy publication Naval Aviation News from 1950 through 1954. This is the second volume in a series, with follow-ons covering the late1950s, the 1960s, etc. A glossary of aviation terms is included at the end. Flying Lucky 3 is also on Kindle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Flying lucky 2 24 July 2013

This book is a sequel to Flying Lucky and continues with a series of real life drama in the skies. It is hard to believe the pilots could live through some of these experiences. It is a great book
to read and I enjoyed it very much. It has a nice mix of excitement and humor. Wes R.

it is a miricle that we have enough planes and pilots to win any engagements our military gets in to.

I have been a pilot since the age of 5 (imaginary and real) and at my present age of 72 with 12,000+ hours behind me I still enjoy a good airplane yarn. Bryans shares his training years and his aviation experiences in these books and they will keep you enthralled. Good reading.
5.0 out of 5 stars Another Flying Lucky Book 22 Feb 2014

You can see my other reviews of this same series of books. The comments at the end of each short accident/incident by Grandpa Pettibone are just as interesting as the stories them selves.
