I installed this filter at 5pm monday evening, by 7pm the tanks water was absolutly crystal clear, the fish love the new filter as it lightly aggetates the water and not blow them to high water as my old model that came with the tank used to do,
One thing to note with the U2 filters is that the top of the spout HAS to be at least 1cm BELOW the waters surface in order to properly oxygenate the water.
The unit runs smoothly and quietly and is extremely powerful for it's price. You hardly notice the unit is even running when say the TV is on or especially when the XBOX is running.
All in all and to finish this review off, The filter is an amazing lil product, the U2 is capable of tanks upto 110 Litres, for tanks larger or if you have a large amount of fish then consider the U3.

Excellent filter system! I really like the idea of the three way filter system! I can`t believe how clear my tank looks, (i have a red-eared terrapin), which are quite messy, i have to really keep on top of cleaning my tank, and the fluval u2 helps me to keep on top of it! It`s also very quiet running which is another great thing about it! I would recommend the FLUVAL U2 FILTER to anyone! And the replacement filters are a reasonably good price. Great product and excellent value for money! Very happy.

Bought this half a year ago for my 90 litre cold water tank. It works very well, and significantly reduced algae growth in the tank.
The big plus for me is the ease of cleaning - the whole unit swings away from the tank wall, the lid pops off, and you remove the three filter magazines, rinse them out and slide them back in. So simple.
I'm about to order replacement filters after around 6 months use.
