I've had one of these tanks for a year now and, although it looks cool and trendy, the small access aperture in the glass roof makes it hard to clean properly. Evaporation is also a problem as it makes the mesh on the hood go rusty and the tank has to be topped up regularly to stop annoying air pockets and algae forming on the glass roof.
Another problem is the lighting that is mounted over the water cascade from the filter. The two halogen bulbs are totally unprotected and get splashed with water causing them to get a coating of lime scale on them that needs to be removed regularly. This is also caused by evaporation as mine is a hard water area.
The filter unit is very efficient but the suction tube has captured my fish by the tail a couple of times and they have died (see comments by Chinqwe).
All in all, a thing of beauty but with several design flaws.

I got one of these tanks and after a few months found I wanted something else. The tank looks fantastic but the small opening means cleaning, catching fish etc is very difficult and extremely stressful for the fish. Also it is very hard to keep the tank bubble free as the filter makes bubbles unless the water is at the precise level, this is very hard to achieve given evaporation.
I also found that the fish were extremely stressed and unhappy. Meaning poorer colours and less characterful. This was proved when I got a new tank, now even during cleaning they are happier than they did existing in the edge tank.
Ok tank for a few shrimp and 5 neons (for instance) but anything more is cruel in this specific tank. Dont bother in my opinion.
I also found that the fish were extremely stressed and unhappy. Meaning poorer colours and less characterful. This was proved when I got a new tank, now even during cleaning they are happier than they did existing in the edge tank.
