Compiled by the top specialists, printed on glossy paper, illustrated throughout with fine line-drawings and with a section of excellent color photographs. The color photographs are brought together in a single section in the middle of the book, and the quality has to be seen to be believed.
The down-side of this book (such as it is) is its format: it crams together basic information on an enormous amount of plant families in a single volume. It therefore is, of necessity, limited to broad outlines and offers an overview only.
