Bright and contemporary, this will prove popular. 25 projects in all include great things to make like bags, pincushions, notebooks. The style is supposed to be Scandinavian, but did not immediately hit me as such. It looks like everyday modern craft fayre. This book was originally published in Danish as 'Flowerpower Patchwork' in 2010, unfortunately in places the translation leaves quite a lot to be desired. I found some of the instructions difficult to follow and unclear. I did like the fabrics and the projects very much and this book has a contemporary styling. My favourite project was the knitting bag. This review first appeared on yarnsandfabrics website.
This book has over 25 bright and cheerful projects either incorporating floral designs, or using floral fabrics alongside traditional patchwork & quilting techniques. There is a great range of projects from bags, cushions and quilts to pin cushions, notebook covers and a pencil case, there should be something for everyone to make.
I love the bright and colourful prints that have been used on the projects and they have used colourful diagrams which match perfectly and make this a very cheerful book of fun projects. The projects have step by step instructions, a materials list and lots of useful diagrams as well as templates at the back of the book and a techniques section at the front.

This is a really gorgeous book, Beautifully set out with easy to understand patterns and very good photos of projects. You will not be dissappointed. A great book for beginners to advanced sewers. Lots of very useful things to make, from very simple to more adavanced but still all very easy for anyone as instructions are so good. Templates in the back of the book and they are full size also. This would make a great present for anyone who needs to make useful but quite stunning projects quickly and easily. I highly recomend this book, I have been sewing for many years and have been delighted with yet another great book for my collection.
