Product Description

Collins Flower Painting Through the Seasons provides a year-long painting course in watercolour, and reveals that the quieter seasons of autumn and winter offer just as many possibilities for flower painting as the busy spring and summer months.

The book is divided into four main sections covering the seasons, which are then divided into monthly chapters. Each chapter offers one full step-by-step demonstration plus several projects – some simple, some more ambitious – relevant to the time of year. The range of seasonal subjects, with their varying colours, will ensure that Collins Flower Painting Through the Seasons is a visual treat.

The book includes:

Practical projects relating to aspects of painting appropriate to the month in question

Step-by-step demonstrations for each month of the year

Varied subjects including seasonal blossoms, seedheads, fruits, berries and foliage, from the hedgerow, orchard, vegetable garden and conservatory as well as the garden

This book has inspired me to try different techniques. The flowers through the season is a wonderful way of exploring the different shapes and colours going from the spring colours of daffodils through to the rich reds and browns of leaves in winter that are used throughout the book.

i WAS SURPRISED WITH THE CONDITION OF THIS BOOK, BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD, I EXPECTED A BIT OF DAMAGE, BUT THERE WAS NONE TO BE SEEN.

marvellous paintings 14 April 2005
By A. Tiilikka - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I really love the artwork in this book. But since I do not have very much experience in watercolorpainting I do not get very good results by following her instructions. I would not recommend it to a beginner, but to someone who already masters the basic skills. In any case it is a lovely book.
