Stunning photos, lots of ideas, excellent description of how to put arrangements together, and the price is just great! The colour wheel is great at explaining using contrasting colours, and the step-by-step photos are so easy to follow. I will be using this book for ideas for a long time to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flower arranging (by Mark Welford) 28 Jun 2012
By flowers
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is a clearly written, well presented book of contemporary flower arrangements in foam, containers, hand ties etc. I bought it purely based on the rating stars given by other readers (which is always a bit of a gamble), but I was not disappointed. There are a wide variety of designs with lots of different flowers, and foliages (accessible within this country). Clearly written instructions and photographic guidance for both flower arrangers and florists alike and useable whatever level you are working at. Also a delightful 'coffee table' book just to peruse for the sheer delight of it.

A very well written book suitable for all levels of ability, with just enough technical information not to baffle the novice with science. As a retired City & Guilds Floristry tutor now running my own wedding flower business, Precious Posies ([...]) I would recommend this beautifully illustrated book to just about anyone wishing to further their knowledge of flower arranging.
