This is my first Amazon review - that will tell you how impressed I am with this product!
I've tried many yoga DVD's in the past - being a single parent means I can't get to the gym as my 'me time' is my sons 'sleep time'. Usually, I get bored after a few tries of any workout video (and even have shameful amounts of dust covering my Wii+Zumba package). I also find the narrative of many yoga DVD's to be really nauseating.
This DVD is really well put-together - you choose the area you wish to work on, and then are given various options of how to stack your workout. For instance, if I choose 'thigh workout', the DVD will then take me to a next-level menu, where I can choose to preceed the workout with a warm-up, close it with a cool-down, or incorporate both - giving the total minutes of each option in brackets. This is wonderful for choosing dependant upon how much time I have.
The workout itself is hard work at first, even as someone who has had experience in yoga, I still ache from this! The poses are pretty standard, but the length of time you hold some of them makes it a little more intense than other workout. The narration is simple, calm and the background music is well composed.
Since starting to use this DVD nearly a month ago, I have progressed to doing one workout per day, preceded by a warm-up. This is generally about 35 minutes of my time. I have toned, impressively so - I had a baby 18 months ago, and this workout is really helping me get rid of that stubborn baby belly as well as make my limbs more toned and my framework more supple. I couple the workout with meditation, and I feel super-powered. It really is invigorating. Do yourself a favour and buy this DVD. I hope you find it as worthwhile and enjoyable as I do.
