Product Description

Native Floridian and travel writer Jason Ferguson covers the best of the Sunshine State, from perusing Pensacola and the Panhandle to mingling with Mickey in Walt Disney World and going the distance in Daytona Beach. Ferguson includes unique trip ideas for a variety of travelers, such as "The Old Florida Tour" and "The Rockets and Racecars Tour." With expert advice on exploring the tropical climate of Miami, the Florida Keys, the lush Everglades, and the Tampa Bay area, "Moon Florida" gives travelers the tools they need to create a more personal and memorable experience.

Moon Florida 25 Mar 2010
By Becky Farley - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I like all of the Moon travel guides. They are written by local people who are familiar with the area. Therefore, I feel you get better information, especially on out of the way places that are interesting and not so touristy. Their hotel, motel, and restaurant recommendations are always spot on and are not always mentioned in the other travel books.

Was just like advertised. It was cheaper than I could have got it in the store and I really like the book-better than other Moon Books I have read. Thanks.

Bad Florida 19 Mar 2010
By Charlotte O. Gherke - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Generally, I prefer Moon Handbooks to most others but this book is a diffenate execption. Almost from the get-go you have no trouble determining that the author has a bigoted, liberal bent, if a subject or place happens to personally offend his views he simply refuses to include it in the guide. Airboats, for example, have long been an adventure associated strongly with South Florida, thousands enjoy them and many make their livelihood from them but since the author hates airboats, BINGO no airboat coverage. He covers little known rat traps in Key West but writes nary a word about the original Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. I could go on and on but suffice to say I have dumped this book and will probably only buy another Moon book after I actually look at it in a bookstore.
