This is the latest edition of Florence Greenberg's work, in print since 1934. It's the coffee-table edition. Like all the editions it's excellent, but if you don't need the pictures then you can find earlier editions with more recipes at lower prices.

I remembered this book from my childhood but couldn't get it anywhere in the UK. The service was good and postage from the US did not take too long. Book was in good condition. I am happy.

Florence Greenbrg, author of a self-titled cookery book, is a must for every household. Young Jewish just-marrieds and other ladies who are interested in the art of European coookery will be delighted with Floence Greenberg's commentary and recipes. I am certainly not the world's best cook, but even I, on following Greenberg's recipes manage to produce a decent, eadible meal. There is something about home-cooking that cannot be surpassed by modern-day technology of instant freezing. Buy it, read it and rise to the challenge of producing some interesting and delicious dishes. Enjoy!

I got this book as a bride in England, 38 years ago, inexperienced in the kitchen, and a great lover of the traditional Jewish cooking I grew up with. This book is easy to use, recipes are easy to find and follow. Mine is paperback, falling apart, and I'm looking to buy another copy (...). It tells you everything you need to know from soup to nuts. My faithful chestnut stuffing recipe comes from this book as do many others.

I had a copy of this book already my mother-in-law bought it as a gift when I got married, she had an older edition as did her mother before her, I purchased mine for my daughter-in-law when she married my son. We have all made our own amendments to favorite recipes along the way & passing them on keeping family favorites & traditions alive. This book is a must for anyone who wants to make traditional European Jewish dishes.

This is an authoritative, British, Jewish cookbook. The earliest editions date back to the 1940's. This edition, the Exeter hardback of 1980, is revised and expanded.
