Floetry kinda appeared out of no where in 2002 with their smash hit album "Floetic" a mix between beautiful vocal harmonies from the Songtress Marsha and the spoken word poet/rapper Natalie. It was a very original concept and instantly grabbed me. After the minimal success of their 2003 Live album Floacism Floetry went back into the studio and recorded this BEAUTIFUL album entitled Flo'Ology.

1.Blessed 2 Have - The beat at the start seems really sombre and depressing but it soon picks up into a mid-tempo melodic jam it has single written all over it i'm not really feelin' Natalie's rap but it'surprisingly catchy and fans of Floetry will hear this song and be very pleased 9/10

2.Supastar(Featuring Common)- The first official single release it's just such a feel-good song maybe should have been released during the summer has a very happy vibe. Common to me kinda spoils the song although what he's saying its good i just feel he could have been left off this but i love it either way. 10/10

3.Closer - This FANTASTIC song was the buzz song that got alot of peoples attention and told everyone Floetry were back i love this song so much the beat is beautiful and Marsha sounds great it speaks to me the way their past hits "Say Yes" & "Getting Late" did it's a definate sexy song ans should be a single better still the next single i've actually had this song since August and i love it even more its on a whole Floetry album 10/10

4.My Apology - Reminds me a bit of their 1st song "Floetic" in terms of the groovy beat and the happyness of it even though the lyrics arent as happy lol. I think alot of people will like this song instantly and relate to it 100% 10/10

5.Let Me In - I think most of us out there have been through a similar situation in one point of our lives this song touches on peoples emotions very will and Natalie sings on it as well which was weird to listen to but i liked it 9/10

6.Lay Down - Gives "Say Yes" a run of its money as being the sexiest song of the album it could be the 2nd part to "Say Yes" its just one of those songs to get you into that mood of being intimate with the person you care about i love it 10/10

7.Feelings - I instantly took to this song as i'm sorta going through a similar thing :S. I really like how theyre just being raw and the sheer emotion coming from them on this track is so beautiful the lyrics are so moving a deep "are we in love with our fears" just carefully listen to the lyrics.... 10/10

8.Sometimes U Make Me Smile - This song was the only one i didnt take to straight away it just seemed to drag too much clocking some 6 minutes and a half Marsha's voice is like honey on this song i would LOVE to hear them sing this live i think it would send shivers down your spine. Natalie's poetry is just deep and meaningful 10/10

9.I'll Die - A bit more up-beat from the previous tracks i love the guitar driven baseline and when it gets to Natalie's part it picks up and becomes a very catchy song and could be strong enough to be a single release not my favourite track but its a good one 8/10

10.Imagination - Another long 6 minute song. lol This is like "Say Yes Part III" a nice sexual song i kinda gathered what it would be about even when i saw the title worth listening to if your in one of those moods hehe 10/10

11.I Want U - Just play the track 10 and this one and you just come an EARgasm lol this track is very sexy as well reminds me a bit of "Getting Late" which i heard them sing live and it was breath taking i think this would be a good one to sing like as well. Not really single material but if i had my way it would be and it would be #1 but thats just me....Tick Tock :) 10/10

12.In Your Eyes - After "I Want U" you just wanna hear more sexy tunes but this one is cool reminds me of Jill Scott (think A Long Walk) not a that good but its ok 8/10

13.Don't Know What To Say - This song was released in the same way as "Closer" was just a buzz song but this song actually never made the final U.S edition but us British have it on our version :) a cool song Natalie has a cool verse like this song very much 10/10

14.Waiting In Vain - Covering Bob Marley is a difficult task coz only Bob can sing Bob songs lol but this isnt a bad cover version obviously i prefer mr Marley's version but the girls give it a good effort. Again only released on the U.K version of the album 10/10

Top 5
1.Closer
2.Feelings
3.Imagination
4.I Want U
5.Lay Down/Sometimes U Make Me Smile

If your LOVE Floetry go out and buy it now its such a beautiful album even though we've had to wait nearly 4 years for a 2nd studio album im glad it's hear n its in heavy rotation with me
Keep flying that british flag girls!

Fans of Lauryn Hill, India.Arie and Erykah Badu might want to give this smokin’ British duo a try.

Marsha “the Songstress” Ambrosius and Natalie “the Floacist” Stewart are the super cool ladies behind the unusually named “Floetry”, and their sound, as you may have guessed, is a fusion of neo-soul and poetry.

This is their third album, coming after Floetic (2002) and Floacism “Live” (2003), the first single from this album being being “Supastar” featuring Common. Songs to watch are “Blessed 2 Have”, an upbeat hip hop track and the jazzy “Closer”

The UK version includes an excellent cover of Bob Marley’s “Waiting in Vain”, a smooth reggae/soul mix that makes getting this version worthwhile. There’s another track “I Don’t Know What 2 Say” which is also a nice bonus.

This smooth neo-soul album is great for romantic evenings, or rainy days and Mondays.

flo' ology is fresh and unique. the songs on flo' ology is emotional and polished compare to floetic. Flo'Ology is mostly composed of beautiful R&B slow jams, like "lay down" and "feelings." But there are also some midtempo tracks, like "My Apology" and "SupaStar." I can honestly say there is not a bad song on flo'Ology, there are songs that stand out from the others, but all songs are worth listening too.

If you love floetic, like I do you will love this.
