5.0 out of 5 stars Party Time 3 May 2002
By "kdh1138" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I can't count how many times I've watched ULTIMATE FIGHTS. Every time a friend comes over I show them a scene/fight or two (I like the scenes from Scarface, Snatch, and Gladiator the best) and we usually end up watching the whole freakin thing. Plus it's got all the extras which I still don't think I've watched everything yet. It's got biographies, how to make your own fight, commentary tracks from fight guys in Hollywood, and others - like I said I haven't watched everything yet.
If I'm not showing it to anybody I'll put it on in the background or I'll put it on while we're getting ready to go out on the weekends because the soundtrack is awesome and it gets us all excited and ready to go (They have this Rumble in the Bronx re-mix feature that kicks). ULTIMATE FIGHTS is a definate plus to my DVD collection - I just hope I don't wear it out!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Fights = Awesome!! 6 May 2002
By Debbie Levi - Published on Amazon.com

What a cool DVD! I've never seen anything quite like it before and the quality of the fight selection was really impressive. The best part was where they teach you how to stage a fight just like in the movies! Dont miss this one!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's get Ready to Rumble 15 April 2002

Have you seen "Ultimate Fights"? You will. Soon.
"Ultimate Fights" is jam packed full of the best scenes from "Gladiator," "Snatch," "Rumble in the Bronx," and many other classic fight movies such as "Players Club," "Blade" and many many more. "Ultimate Fights" delivers a knock out montage of some of best fight scenes as well as a commentary and educational documentary on how to stage your own fight scene. But that is not all, just when I was relaxing into the flow, "Ultimate Fights" provided sound options and fighter profiles and DVD ROM options and trivia. I think they are associated with Maxim because I've read about them there before online and I know I read about the other compilation DVD Boogeyman in Maxim "Ultimate Fights" is perfect for parties and bars as there is no need to delve deep into plot or worry about any cunning directorial prestidigitation the likes of "Usual Suspects" or "Wag the Dog". "Ultimate Fights" unwinds as most montage movies with the breakneck pace of a rocket powered yoyo. I think Ultimate Fights will sweep the nation. The movie doesn't have any of that sap you see in movies such as "Man Bites Dog" or the "Professional," just the best parts of the best fight movies, including clips such as the final scene from "Fist of Legend," a Quentin Tarantino recommended film starring Jet Li. I can't see why someone would rent movies devoid of the artistic panache and craftsmanship of "Braveheart" such as "The Best of the Best 3" when you know you're just going to fast forward it to the fighting scenes so figure it's about time they came out with a compilation DVD with good fighting scenes.
