Ok, I actually saw this in a Waterstones - was intrigued but too embarressed to buy it so I brought it online to save my blushes.

I wasn't expecting much, the same old tired stuff about grooming, body langauge, keeping positive and to be honest thats pretty much what it provides. What makes me give it 4 stars is that it does all this with a fresh touch and makes it all clear and easy to take in (yes, hence why its in Dummies series lol). This isn't a players handbook, its about making the best of who you are and presenting that to enjoy flirting - wether for friendship or something more. Its a positive book, doesn't give musts and shoulds, just tells you this will help you if you want it too.

I recommend this book to you. If you've got this far your interested and maybe need a litle help in getting past "Hello" this book will be like your best friend, guiding you into a new wonderful era of your life.

Enjoy :)

I read this book because as a practicing therapist, I work daily with people who are lonely and seeking to build their confidence. A number of these people are those who feel they lack the skills to create a positive impression - particularly from people they are attracted to. This is one of the few books, in my opinion, that teach practical skills to help address these concerns and has fun doing it. Most importantly, from the beginning the book focuses on two-way communication, in other ways not just "wowing" others, but also the importance of being willing to accept feedback and make changes.

The book is organised in the following sections:
I. Getting to Grips with Flirting Basics
- The first section looks at your current flirting approach. It helps you to get motivated and over your fears and reservations about flirting. By the end of this section you will have addressed any mindset issues or blockages you may have that prevent you fromflirting. This enables you to go forth and flirt effectively!
II. Getting Noticed and Making Contact
- Section Two helps you to boost your confidnence. It focuses on your appearance and developing the antennae you need to know who might be receptive to flirtation.
III. Developing Killer Rapport with Body Language
- A very helpful section to enable you to connect with others non-verbally. Also in this section are flirting cues that men and women transmit.
IV. Taking the Next Step
- The fourth section of the book is a fun section that describes, "advanced" flirting topics, such as how to make others want more contact from you, how to spot a liar(!), managing office affairs, and how to deal with rejecetion.

I would highly reccomend this book as a way of both increasing your confidence and feeling that you can take risks that help you to connect with others.

Funny Book For Desperate PPL XD 1 May 2012
By Robert - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I decided to purchase this book, in particular because I find that my flirting is, on average, taken to be disrespectful or rude. Personally, I don't understand why a female would take offense to my flirtation approaches, so I figured a book like this would be able to assist me in my approach. I was interested in learning a way to transform my supposed immature flirting into an acceptable format.

Well, personally, I feel this book can be interesting, but some sections make no sense. For example, the "five second stare" is the perfect way to make yourself look like a weirdo! I appreciate and understand that eye contact in related to flirtation, but gimme a break. The author is trying to embarrass anyone who is ignorant enough to actually pull off that five second stare.

Besides that ridiculious five second stare, the book is pretty interesting nonetheless. I can't say whether or not its gonna help me find a date in and of itself (in as much as the book is concerned), but its a nice read nonetheless.

Nice book, However I wish that it could have broken down the methods in a simpler manner.
