THE HITS WORK...THE BULK OF MISSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN MIISSED FROM EVEN BEING PUT ON THIS COMPACT DISC!

This a 2 (Two) albums originally released on Vinyl back in the day on the Flip label and now on 1 (One) Compact Disc. Ace removed the duplicated tracks that appeared on the Vinyl Edition of the 'Original' Volume Two, thus giving you 17 tracks! And 11 (Eleven) Bonus Tracks! Plus 2 (Two) Unreleased Tracks! The bulk of those Bonus Tracks should have NOT been used 80% of those are nothing to write home about! The sound quality is great! ALL in MONO (I don't think Flip Records ever recorded anything in Stereo)...It's just when you get to those Bonus Tracks...They just kill the groove and/or flow. I'm pretty with Flip Records releasing Singles from 1954 to 1963 the good folks at Ace Records could have (Should have) unearthed something else far better than the one's they did find to ADD to this collection, In fact here's a few names (Artists) from Flip Records catalog that Ace Records could used: Falcons, Sweet Teens, Rhythm Masters, Cyclones, Bey Sisters, Locketts, Chico Boys, Robin Paul, Fred Richards, Eddie Leon, Washington D.C.'s, Trudy and Louise, and Denita James just to name a few. So it wasn't the case of lack of music...So I don't get it??? Maybe whoever compiled this Compact Disc will let me know, and I'll be more than happy to let you (The reading public) what was said. Don't you find it strange you can NOT hear ANY Samples from this Compact Disc???

I bought this cd for the song Death of an Angel. I have it on the original 45rpm and was hoping to find it on a cd which I did. A very haunting song at that time. Since I have it packed away and have not played any 45's in over 30 years, I hope it has the same appeal 50+ years latter when it arrives since I cannot play it here.
