It's tiny, sturdy, ultra-portable - you can stick it in your handbag or pocket - and absolutely idiot-proof to use. I love that you don't need any other bits of stuff - no wires, no cables, no chargers, no nothing. Takes great movies, or at least great enough movies for most home users' needs. I love mine and use it every day, as opposed to bringing out its complicated, fiddly predecessor once in a blue moon. NB if you use a Mac and want to edit your films in iMovie08, you'll need QuickTime Pro. If you're happy to edit using the Flip's inbuilt software, you're ready to go straight out of the box.

I bought this for my dad who's in his 70s. He loves gadgets but not very good with fiddly things and never reads the manual. He was playing with this within a few minutes and now very rarely leaves the house without it.

Bought one of these for most of the kids, THEY LOVE THEM!! All their friends love them. Easy to use plug and play, straight into the facebook, youtube etc. even the non techies amongst us have no problems. Top pick for birthdays christmas etc.
