Product Description

In Search of Santa Claus Those who know him best tell their remarkable tales. George Bush President Was a Helper Helping that fellow clear his airspace by signing the Santa Claus Clause was a great privilege of my office. A great privilege." Sir Edmund Hillary New Information on Everest The local people insisted there was something happening up there on the summit every December. Tenzing must have believed that. At the top, I saw him place some cookies in the snow." Al Roker Forecaster to the Elves In one hour in New York you can have snow, ice, rain—then it changes back to snow! Santa has to know what's going on. I tell him." Will Steger Only Man to Visit the Village It was big, but it was small. It was calm, but it was bustling. It was happy—yes, I would even say it was jolly. The village was precisely like Santa Claus himself!"

From the Author

Herein is told the tale of the greatest of elves...
Herein is told the tale of the greatest of elves, his flight from Iceland to Greenland, Canada and, finally, to the North Pole --from which outpost he carries on the most extraordinary acts of benevolence and kindness. There is history, wonder and good, hard science in FLIGHT OF THE REINDEER; 50 full-color paintings by Glenn Wolff and 50 exceedingly rare photographs --including the only extant photos of Santa flying on the big night-- help to forward this special story. Experts who know of, or even work with, Santa Claus come forward to bear witness: Sir Edmund Hillary says he saw strange behavior on the summit of Everest in 1953, the adventurer Will Steger says he visited the elusive village at the Pole in 1986, former President George Bush says he signed the international accord to curb circumpolar air routes on December in 1989. For all the truth about The Christmas Mission that is presented, there is, it is hoped, just as much magic.

It was a super insight into Sullivan and co.'s belief in the existance of Santa Claus. The book managed to combine magic and facts in a perfect way. At times the book got very factual when describing where Santa was supposed to have moved from, but apart from this which I found slightly tedious the book was excellent. I hear the book is going to be made into a film to be shown on CBS at christmas time, what Hollywood will do with it I'm not sure. Interesting magical stuff, and a super read just days before christmas. Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus..and now we have proof. Plans for a follow up?
