Book Description

5 April 2001
On the morning of the day that is to change her life, Lucy Spoon's wake-up call is the rain pouring through the roof and the sight and sound of her husband snoring like a Harley Davidson. Jodie McDeal, meanwhile, is about to discover that her soon-to-be-ex boyfriend, drug dealing Rogan Hogan, has cancelled all her credit cards. And that he's hidden two kilos of smack in her vanity case. And then Lucy and Jodie meet over a fry-up at a transport cafe . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Read 21 Feb 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This must be the funniest of Maggie Gibsons books, the two bungling kidnappers, who are big softies really and the circus van crashing and loosing some of the animals was keeping us all in suspense knowing something must happen involving them. Very well written and most enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 15 Nov 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
...This book gripped me from the beginning and I just kept on reading, completing half of it in one go! When I did have to put the book down (to sleep, for instance) I couldn't wait until I could pick up where I left off. It's gripping without being heavy and it has lots of little sub-plots that all neatly weave together as the story progresses, until a very satisfying climax is reached. All loose ends are tied up and I found myself smiling as I read the last chapter. A brilliant read - buy this book: you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop what you are doing and read this book! 15 April 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
The flight of Lucy Spoon is a fantastic book from start to finish. I think it only took about 2 days to read it from cover to cover, I was unable to put it down (unless I really had to). The train travellers of Northern Ireland salute you Maggie Gibson, for I had them totally entertained with my facial expressions wondering what on earth was going to happen next. A thouroughly entertaining read.
