I like zombie movies as it would appear a lot of other people do judging by the rush of zombie flix that have flooded the shelves since Shaun of the dead reared it's brilliant, groaning, brain munching noggin. However, liking zombie movies and making a good one are obviously two different kettles of badgers - most of the new wave of zombie romps have just been awful exercises in how long you can hold off from pressing the stop button. So suffice to say I didn't exactly dive headlong into this one hoping for the best, but I'm glad to say I was slightly shocked. There where a few familiar faces lighting up the screen - no one major, but still welcome - which was the first thing I noticed, the next was that the acting and pacing wasn't as loathsome as most other films of this class - so on I watch, hot air hostess babes, kept watching, nice camera angle with some cool pausey, restarty, neck munching affairs, I was enjoying it. I couldn't believe my luck!
In conclusion I'd have to say a pleasantly surprising, above average, trashy, zom-fest which makes the most of it's budget (and where it doesn't it makes you laugh, for most part - check out that fighter jet!) also it doesn't take itself too seriously which goes enormously in it's favour. A good laugh but only at the right price.
