Tortured by his own mediocrity, Max (Tom Sizemore) decides to commit suicide and recruits his only friend Bud, a struggling filmmaker, to record his last day on Earth. Bent on exacting revenge, Max tracks down and finally confronts his overbearing boss and his ex-wife. His rage builds until his last day is turned upside down by the kindness of a young woman in a wheelchair. Just moments from his own end, Max finds hope but is it too late to fix what is broken?

I'm a big fan & sometimes my view can be biassed but in my opinion, if you're a fan, then you're a fan and will give things their own credit as individual items and not be tempted to compare them to older or differnt styles.

Personaly i think this is great... I don't want to spoil anything cause you'll love how the story unfolds...

50's Mods vs Rockers period... Guy fancys girl, other guy steels girl, guy dies... Fast forward a few years guy comes back from the dead, finds his mum then sets about finding his girl...

I know, sounds mad but it's really well made, acted and totally original.

Trust me, just buy it... It's that good!

I have to say first of all that horror films are not my kind of film (this comes from someone who occassionaly finds Dr Who scenes scary!) - I prefer romantic comedy. But this is not really a horror film. There is romance in it, a comic undertone throughout and any blood scenes are not threatening. There is a lovely 50s atmosphere at the beginning and we get to like the main character, who is being teased and bullied, so later on in the film we do not find him so scary. When watching the film please bear in mind what has been done given a very small budget (of 1m based on an interview I saw with the makers of the film) hence the 4 stars I gave it. There is some sparkle in this film that made me think of a similar sparkle and sense of humour I saw in an early Spielberg film, which was made up of several short stories, that later on characterises many of his more well known films.

This film is a cult classic! Or will be - makes a nice change to watch a film with a ted (zombie ted) in it without cringing for its cheese value! Some really funny moments throughout! Loved it! Oh yeh and great sound check!

if i could give 0 stars i would, this is quite possibly the most pointless film i have ever seen the only interesting thing about it is the mystery of how on earth it got made.

this is a really good film. 18 Feb. 2012

story- in the 50's a guy liked a girl. he went to a dance hall hoping to dance with her. a fight breaks out. he seems to be disoriented and leaves with the girl. he crashes into his watery grave but she makes it out. years later the car is recovered. he somehow comes back to life and gets even with some of the bullys. it seems all of this takes place while rock-a-billy music plays and detectives try to figure out what's going on. until now i have never been impressed by faye dunaway. i'd like to see her as this character again; maybe in a tv series, as --something like-- the new carl kolchac/ night stalker. but she's a detective not a newsman [that is: 'x-file' type cases]. mrs. taylor- johny 'flick' taylor's mother- was a great charactor, also. rarly do you get to see older women in great rolls with a chance to display their abilities.

i really liked this film. the characters were great- which means that the actors did a great job. the director did a fantastic job. for a low budget film the f/x were outstanding. the f/x gave this film a unique and special texture [i feel 'texture' is the appropriate word]. they did use a lot of 50's style rock-a-billy music which will add or distract, depending on you. i like that music , myself. the film is in the style of a 'tales from the crypt' tv show [but totally works as a movie]. one of the things that i really liked about this film were some of the thoughts/ideas that it conjured up in me. A: i love 'repoman' [not the rock opera!] and it should never be remade. but... if it were to be remade i want david howard to direct it. B: sam raimi made: 'crime wave' & 'evil dead 2'. peter jackson made: 'dead alive'. all were great movies; but those two on a small budget were not as good as david howard is. in short: 'the next movie GIANT may be david howard!
