This is a set of very thin, flexible chopping mats for use in the kitchen, colour coded for vegetables, poultry, other meat and fish. They can be put in the dishwasher, and are hard to mark with a knife.

There are basically two kinds of chopping boards -- the kind that are beautiful, and the kind that are functional. Massive hardwood boards look great on the sideboard, but you can't put them in the dishwasher, and they are hard to get really clean any other way. Plastic chopping boards of various kinds are usually quite thick, and sometimes patterned with a texture that is a little like wood. Although initially much easier to keep clean, they tend to scar, and so are just as likely as wooden ones to be holding food traces.

For this reason, commercial kitchens have been using colour-coded boards for a long time, so that the meat board is never used for vegetables, etc. Even so, once boards have begun to scar and refuse to get clean, they ought to be replaced.

These mats go one stage further -- recognising that you will never cut right the way through one, even with a scalpel, they are made thin and flexible. You can roll them up to store them, allowing the surface to be really quite big -- almost as big as an A3 sheet for these mats -- and you can flex them round things for the dishwasher. The surface is a lot harder than most of the plastic mats we've used, though not so hard that it blunts the knife. Nonetheless, they will scar eventually. At this cost-point, though, it shouldn't be too much of a wrench to dispose of them and replace them.

All in all, these are the most functional chopping mats or boards we've ever had, and we are no longer using the collection of other boards we had before.

This is my first set of cutting mats and I like how easy they are to use and clean. However, I am dissapointed how many deep scratches they've got only after 2 weeks of use... I guess they won't last long...

Great boards. Flexible ones are so much easier to use than conventional. Chop away, pick the chopping boards up and hey presto, they fold nicely to be able to get everything into the pan without food flying everywhere. Will purchase again.

Had these chopping boards for around 6 months, already the green one has split in the centre ( I use this one the most) For the money I suppose you cant really complain, but I would have hoped it would have lasted a bit longer!!

I ordered these because i wanted some cheap chopping boards for my student flat. Don't beleive the claims, these boards are by no means scratch resistant, from first use i have had huge scores and knife marks all over them, even though i used a relatively blunt knife, which do not go away.
On the upside, the colours are cool... But it's worth spending a bit more and getting a decent board.

Product as described and delivered quickly.

These are thin flexible mats which I usually use on top of a rectangular glass chopping sheet. The glass mat tends to blunt knives (and it's noisy!) but it is a good surface for the flexible mats, keeping your knife well away from the worktop.
The mats do become scored and need replacing after a while. My original source of similar mats no longer supplies them so I was delighted to find these.
Highly recommended.
Would use same supplier again.

These chopping mats are pretty good.

They seem pretty thin but strong. I have done some chopping on them and i havent noticed any scratches yet.

Easy to pick up with chopped meat or veggies on to transfer to wok or pan. Very easy to clean. Much better than my old plastic one that got warped and scratched and would move all over the place.

Would recommend them to anyone.

5 Stars.

Unfortunately these boards are not meant for people who actually use proper knifes we brought these in December and one of them already has cuts all the way through the board both in the middle and at the edges. Yes they are colourful and bendy but they are suppose to be chopping boards and to chop you use a knife therefore they should with stand blades being on them - they don't!
