The gate has only just been put up so all I can say at the moment is that it took my husband over 2 hours to assemble. He's extremely good at DIY so, if you're a novice, don't even try. There are a massive number of parts, the diagrams are useless and the instructions are a bad translation from the language in which they werer written. Looks nice though!

... let down a little by the instructions. I bought two; the first one was hard going, the second was a breeze. In use the gate is robust and the lock is secure. If you're fussy about style as well as practicality, the gate looks good too. I'd buy the same again!

I spent ages researching gates as I wanted one that could be removed when not in use. A big mistake ordering this one! My husband took one look at the complexity and it put him off - they sat in the box for 3 months... My Dad is a whizz at DIY and it took him 4 HOURS to put this up yesterday. I am pleased with the result, but putting it together was a total nightmare. Instructions are useless and this is meant to fit 75cm gap, but my Dad had to make 'modifications' to get it to work. I am sending the other 2 back as I cannot put him through the pain of doing another. I will be buying something else instead.

Too troublesome and time consuming to fit...
Although this gate looks good and doesn't have the bottom rail to trip over it comes with a ridiculous number of parts and took a ludicrous length of time to assemble and fit. Read more
