5.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent and Subtle Collection of Poems, 7 Jan 2012
This review is from: In the Flesh (Paperback)

I bought this collection a while ago now and have read it through a few times as it inspires different imagery and musings upon the poems each time I do. Some of the poems are quite short and yet each word seems so well placed- The Moth,Scar Tissue,Blossom and Trawling are just a few examples of brief yet very carefully structured writing. Elsewhere historical references sit beside tales of everyday lives and the nuanced detail is always very impressive...I definately suggest this collection for fans of thoughtful, melancholic and deep poetry.
