This 16-song collection includes a number of chart-topping Fleetwood Mac releases, most of them selected from their remarkable, decade-plus long run of hits spanning the mid 1970sthrough the 1980s. GREATEST HITS includes songs such as theStevie Nicks classics "Rhiannon", "Dreams", and "Gypsy", aswell as a number of standout tracks by pianist Christine McVie, including "Over My Head" and "Say You Love Me".
Additionally, guitarist and songwriter Lindsey Buckingham, who,like Nicks, enjoyed a solo career in addition to putting intime with Fleetwood Mac, is also represented here with excellent songs, including "Go Your Own Way" and "Tusk". I am a very big Fleetwood Mac fan, but there are almost always a few songs on their individual cd's that I really dislike. This cd is great in that it does not include any of these songs, so I can listen to it from start to finish. These are all great songs that make you remember when they were performing together - they all fed off each other constructively which created their awesome music and destructively which led to their downfall. However, Fleetwood Mac never really lost popularity and the songs on this cd easily show you why. They are great songs, with a sound that was so distinct to the band. I was thrilled when the band got back together for a little while and released some new material - unfortunately, this was short lived. This is a wonderful cd for any Fleetwood Mac lover.

How could anyone not enjoy this 16 song collection of some of Fleetwood Macs' greatest songs? Noting that it starts with the Nicks/Buckingham period until the nineties, every song is a gem. Included are some lesser known tracks like, "No Questions Asked" and "Little Lies" along with the perennial favorites. I surprised to learn that with all these fantastic hits, only "Dreams" made it to #1 on the Billboard charts, noting that Stevie Nicks had written the lyrics pre-Fleetwood Mac days. Stephen Davis includes some nice liner notes.

If this set does not satisfy you, obtain the four disc set called, "The Chain". That collection includes a full disc of early Fleetwood Mac material from the late sixties/early seventies to the present. Regardless, this CD is a reflection of rockin' songs we all grew up with.

Every song on this CD is superb. It really makes you feel good and if you're stuck in a traffic jam and need relaxing, then this is a really great CD to listen to. Big Love is an all time favourite, it's funky and lifts your spirits. Tusk is also brilliant with a heavy beat that is very "elephant" inspired! This album really should be in your CD collection for great songs and variety.
