4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring book, written by a superb sportswoman 12 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
Fleetwood Assasin is written in a chatty, informal style and after the first few pages I felt that Jane Couch was there telling me her story. The book begins with a synopsis of her life growing up in Fleetwood before her boxing career, much of which is highly amusing, making me laugh out loud and earning me some odd looks on the train! She then goes on to tell how she became involved in boxing, and how her passion for the sport became her career, against all odds. She tells of her legal fight to obtain a professional license from the British Boxing Board of Control, along with details of her fights and the general ups and downs of the day to day training which has made her the outstanding sportswoman she is today.

The book was easy to read, amusing and inspiring. I've now joined my local boxing club!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars best biography ever read 27 Jan 2003
By kelly barnes - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is Jane straight talking, in very much her own words. Her life is quite a story and a very interesting read, once I picked it up I read it straight off. Very advisable to buy for aspiring female boxers who need a real role model not just an image or for anyone who is interested in a broader spectrum of boxing.
