I was so excited when the postman delivered this book, my first thought on opening the parcel was wow! And i still think that!
I think that this is a better release that Thats the way it was, the previous Follow That Dream book/CD release, which itself is a must have for all Elvis Fans.
Flashback is over double the size of TTWIW, same quality paper and cover but more pages and more fantastic pictures.
The layout is great, each section covering a certain area such as Press conferences, recording sessions, Filming sessions, Publicity shots etc, and there is some corkers of photos in here.
The CD is also excellent, the quality is superb and at just under 70 minutes long, you get your money worths! The outtakes also include some of Elvis laughing at his cock-ups during takes which is a personal like of mine with Elvis out-takes.
Yes it is a expensive book, but i don't feel robbed of my money and would recommend it to any big Elvis Fan!!

The Review previously posted relates to the FlashBACK FTD release,an entirely different release, and not the songs listed as being on this CD which has the same title.

HASH(0x8d721588) out of 5 stars Excellent FTD Audio-Visual Document of Elvis' Rise to Fame 10 April 2015
By Deborah House - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Flashback, the second book/CD package released from Follow That Dream, has met with overwhelming positive reception. It's a fantastic package, one of the best in the FTD series, and illustrates Elvis' transition from Hillbilly Cat to King of Rock and Roll. The book is divided into different chapters, with photos of Elvis taken privately, on movie sets, in the recording studio, and on stage. The mostly black and white images are presented with a short text outlining the contents of each chapter and include many highlights. Although a handful of the photos are grainy, most are clear and well-presented, including a few colour shots. Long-time fans will get tremendous pleasure browsing through the unreleased pictures from various recording sessions and hearing the out-takes on the CD. The CD is excellent and of the same high standard as previous FTD releases. The tracks on the CD are the basis of Elvis' spectacular rise to fame. Alternate takes of rockers like 'Lawdy, Miss Clawdy', 'Shake, Rattle And Roll', 'Rip It Up', and especially 'A Big Hunk O' Love', are combined with ballads such as 'I Was The One', 'I Want You, I Need You, I Love You', and 'Young And Beautiful'. The alternate take of 'Treat Me Nice' sounds quite unlike the master and is one of the standout tracks. Flashback is highly recommended, given the generous amount of previously unreleased photos and recordings. The FTD team has produced an audio-visual document that any Elvis fan would be proud to own. -- Daniel Avram, Elvis Australia, 2004
