Not quite what I was looking for. Flash (initially from Macromedia and later from Adobe Systems) is used quite a bit to create animations for web, television, corporate, and film. Unfortunately most of the focus of Flash training seems to be about scripting and interactivity, not the actual process of animation. This book was the recommended text for a motion graphics course I'm taking, however, it really doesn't go into detail as to best practices for animating in flash. Instead it sort of skims across many, many subjects in a very shallow manner. Of course that's what the book claims 'to get you up and running quickly'. Probably should have chosen something else.
