Product Description

The Flexi-Capo provides almost infinite opportunities for guitar-playing soloists and accompanyists to create new and interesting combinations of notes and chords. It also offers beginners, and even some of those people with special needs, to instantly create the simplest of chords to play along with 1000s of songs in any key. The Flexi-Capo allows you to depress any guitar string on any fret below the neck joint on most full-size steel-string or classical guitars to create 100s of alternative tunings without having to resort to re-tuning. Comes with exclusive printed material by PlayFingerstyle.com to get you started: using the Flexi-Capo and many setup configuration diagrams. The Flexi-Capo can be used to quickly create Drop D tuning and DADGAD without the need to retune your guitar and, of course, you have the freedom to create your own combinations to suit existing written material or your own compositions - great for coming up with unique styles for accompanying your lyrics and other vocalists.

I purchased this Flexi-Capo to help open up the fret board as you are very limited with most guitar arrangements when you are playing by yourself. I have used a standard capo on and off for over 40 Years, but when I saw the Flexi Capo advertised the old grey matter started ticking away, then after thinking about it for a week or so I decided to take the plunge.

My only reluctance to purchase was that I was worried that the capo could damage one of my vintage guitars, fortunately I found my fears were unfounded as the quality of manufacture is extremely good. You do have to take some care when fitting the capo, but once fitted it is a breeze to use.

I am glad to say that in use the Flexi-Capo can certainly surprise you with what you can do with it, as you can set the capo to standard open tunings as well as create your own completely new tunings and that's without retuning your guitar. This capo is so easy to use and as you familiarise yourself with it you can even alter the fingers on the fly while playing the instrument. I think the possibilities are only limited by your imagination as this device has certainly triggered a lot of musical idea's in my head.

This capo can be fitted to virtually any guitar with ease and the possibilities are endless, I was that impressed that I have dug out my old musical theory books and have been delving into musical theory and intend to buy more modern theory books, this purchase has given my guitar playing such a boost as it has helped me think outside the box.

The Flexi-Capo is very well made out of quality materials and comes with a guide to using it and also provides you with 2 x A4 double sided sheets with suggested settings to get you started, I guarantee that after going through and trying all the suggested settings you will be very surprised at what this capo can do, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to open up not only his guitar playing, but also his head, an excellent product

It worked fine whenit first arrived, a great product.

However after a couple of weeks it refused to tighten onto the guitar neck anymore. I didn't break any part of the capo, and hadn't damaged it myself in anyway, the only places it had ever been were on my guitar and on the table next to my guitar. I think the screw just wore down over time so that it wouldn't stay fixed.

In short, a shoddily made product. Save your money

Pro: There are any number of combinations of alternative tunings, and you will only be limited by how easy you find it to adapt to new fretboard positions.
Con: It is not quick or easy to fit it on the fly, so if you have have more than one guitar if playing a set in standard and open tunings.

Poorly made. When tightening the capo onto the neck, the screw head came off because the fitting wasn't correct. For the short period of time that the head managed to stay on, the strings weren't held down properly and after a few pull-offs near the capo, the strings came out of the grasp of the capo. Its useless in other words.
