Sylvanian Families is a unique and adorable range of distinctive animal characters with charming and beautifully detailed homes, furniture and accessories. They live, work and play in the idyllic and wonderful land of Sylvania.
The Rainbow Nursery is two storeys with plenty for space of learning and playing for the babies of Sylvania (figures not included). It has a large slide from the roof to the ground and inside there's a music room with piano and stool, a play area with large building blocks and a reading area with a reading table and 4 chairs, there's even a shoe rack and a coat rack where the children can hang their things.

Welcome to the brand new Rainbow Nursery of Sylvania. Contains all kinds of fun accessories for the nursery students to put on a wonderful show or have a party. There are four different coloured chairs to sit on, party hats and party crowns, a piano, a round table, 2 different scenery backdrops, and a fun slide to scoot down, and a ladder to reach the upper level. Over 20 pieces. The Nursery itself is beautifully and colourfully decorated. Ages 3+

Granddaughter absolutely loved this for 5th birthday and had her two sisters 11 and 9 also wanting to play. Had bought other small items to go with set like playground and green family car with other family members buying baby labradors and spotty dog family. Will need to add for xmas probably for all three granddaughters now.

This was my 3-year-olds first 'big' Sylvanian Families item, and it has proved a huge success, although she was disappointed that it did not come with all the characters pictured on the box; very misleading images for a small child!
You get:
-One piece double-storey building that needs no construction
-slide
-piano and stool
-shoe rack/ bench
-round table and 4 chairs
-coat rack
-stand for stage set
-sheet of stickers to decorate nursery (including the sign above the door, children's paintings for the wall etc)
-sheet of press-out stiff paper/ card pieces to make party hats, ingenious folding books, stage backdrop etc
-3 wood-effect building blocks
-2 ladders
I was surprised to get the stickers; I had assumed that the decoration was pre-applied on the building, but it was great fun for my daughter to decorate it herself with some help aligning the stickers. The paper hats are very flimsy and need reinforcing with sellotape to last any time at all, but the little books have survived well so far.
Overall a great set, reasonably priced and detailed, but a real shame not to include even one or two baby figures to start you off. My daughter now wants the nursery toilet set, bus... Highly recommended.

My Granddaughter loved it but I though it very little for the money. I got it though because this is one of the collection that she asked for.
I had tot get all the little extras separately to make the present look anything, although my Granddaughter is very grown-up and understands money and prices. I felt really bad comparing her present with my other Granddaughters' gifts.
I stated in my other review of Sylvanian items that they are extremely expensive for what you get and so small.
Also some of the accessories are too small for the age group stated. A small child could swallow them or get them stuck up their nose or in their ears. It would be more sensible to put the tea sets and small mugs and other accessories as fixtures on a tray or table rather than all separate. After all it is a make believe toy for the child to use their imagination. They do not need to have everything separate they pretend to lift the cups and plates. This would make the tiny accessories easier to find and clear away at the end of play.
Very pretty colours to enchant a child.
It would have been nice to have supplied two nursery staff for the price of this item.
