bought this for my daughter as it looked good , however the brushes retain the paint colors and its not very easy to make picture like on the advert !! no instructions booklet is provided ! its good because its easy for the children to use but bad because it didnt meet their expectations .

We were given rainbow art as a present and think it's great, we've had it several years now and it still gets pulled out.
The key to getting a good paint effect is to make sure the sponges are quite wet, if you then rub them back and forth over the colour blocks, it picks up the colour great. Too dry and it doesn't work well at all.
You can also use wet brushes with the solid paint colours to add non rainbow touches.

This has got to be the worst thing I've ever bought for the children. Most TV adverts make the product look better than they actually are but this is utter fabrication. My daughter was bitterly disappointed. After a few attempts to which resulted in sponges that do not clean and soaking wet paper with not much to show for it, we found the paints to have cracked and lost their shape rendering the item useless. I have never left a review before but this was so bad I just had to try to stop someone else from buying it.
