Product Description

Istanbul, Turkey: Two of Turkey s top Secret Police Officers undertake covert anti-terror operations to uncover the true identity of a dangerous Islamic leader known only as Dajjal . Through violent raids and brutal interrogations they uncover his real name.

New York: Led by Agent Becker (Robert Patrick Terminator 2; Judgement Day) the FBI arrest a prominent Muslim scholar and family man Hadji Gumush in connection with an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol. Have the FBI found Dajjal?

The Turkish secret police officers are swiftly dispatched to New York to assist in the extradition, but the handover is far from simple. With the support of his wife (Gina Gershon Face/Off) and close friend Marcus (Danny Glover Lethal Weapon) Hadji manages to elude the authorities and go into hiding. But one of the officers did not travel all that way to just let him disappear quietly into the night; a lifetime of vengeance is about to be unleashed. In this nail biting action-thriller hunter and prey realise they have more in common than they first thought, setting them on a violent course that will force them to face the heart of their faith.

I'm not one who decries foreign language films in the slightest,my favourite films of the past decade or so being foreign (Pans Lab,Aftershock,Let The Right One In et al...)

1.0 out of 5 stars Truly Awful 8 Nov 2011
Format:DVD
A truly awful film made by actor/director Mahsun K'rm'z'gül . We have an Imam referring to 'God' (not Allah) and a deeply spiritual Muslim allowing his daughter to marry a non-Muslim in Church (!) and in a Mosque!

Unbelievable.

The most interesting bit was where the fundamentalist Muslim met the devoted Muslim but the dialogue lasted just a few minutes. A whole film could have been made of their encounter - what a wasted opportunity.

Elsewhere one reviewer wrote: "his characters are not genuine characters but are cardboard avatars of the actor-director-screenwriter voicing his opinions in blatant dialogues that lack any kind of sophistication or notion of literary value."

The film is made up of a series of quite interesting ideas - none fully developed.None fully believable.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this film. 6 April 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a magnificent film and I recommend it to anyone. It is truly touching and educational, and as a Muslim these are the stereotypes we face in the Western World. Furthermore, I love how the director went into the deeper roots of Islam and showed the beauty of Sufism.
