Synopsis

Just as you have a different love language, you also hear and express the words and gestures of apology in a different language. Chapman and Christian counsellor Jennifer Thomas explore the different languages of apology and show how to follow and use this communication tool.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book 10 May 2009
By JohnT
Format:Paperback
This is a very good book. It teaches you how to say sorry so the other party understands you really mean it.

Unfortunatly, The people that would really should read this book are the once that think they have nothing to appologise for.

I recommend this as one of the basic relationship books for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Have read it together with my husband 8 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback
We both took time to read it together and what I took most out of it is understanding his apology language and him understanding mine. Also it often happened that the examples shown in a book opened a new topic for us to talk about and learn about each other (sometimes we would have to stop reading and just talk about what we read). I could never understand him when he just said "sorry" and I always had to ask "what are you sorry for?" and he never need me to explain to him more than necessary. We are still learning but now it is easier to understand each other and apologize in the right way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sorry isn't enough, or is it? 30 Aug 2011
By SJK
Format:Paperback
At first read this book could be thought of as useless psychobabble. However, this is an excellent book and gets to the core of why relationships can seemingly fail for trivial reasons. It really is common sense but the author manages to convey that common sense in a readable, understandable and clear way. The book could be shorter and at times is repetitive. The message is also in some ways depressing when applied exclusively to inter human relationships, however, the message is so fundamental to apology that it should be required reading for those who complain and those who are the subject of complaints. I would recommend this book without hesitation.
